I loved his design instantly, and I never would have picked it myself. Although this is not his gig, I also talked him into designing my two bathrooms, and again, they came out beautifully.
He has a great manner as well. He won't force anything on you, but at the same time, he's not going to agree to whatever you say either. So he is really good for people that don't have a lot of confidence. He is also amiable, and funny. Nice guy. He took "ownership" of more than what was his responsibility, as well, engaging with my contractors and offering advice on paint color and that sort of thing. I basically did whatever he told me to do by the end. Mostly, though, he has a fantastic eye. Fantastic.”

We just completed a full kitchen and powder room renovation and could not be more pleased with the results and the experience.  We have done numerous renovations in the past, and none has been so seamless and gone so smoothly from end to end. We worked with Paul Bentham, who friends had highly recommended.  Paul was fantastic.  He is a great designer that is a real pleasure to work with.  We had lots of ideas for the kitchen, but Paul improved significantly on all of them.     He is very devoted, produced drafts quickly, and was very effective at working within a budget.  Whenever issues arose, Paul solved them, calmly and efficiently. At Pauls' recommendation, we hired Mike Thornton as the contractor.  He was also sensational.  The quality of his team's work is really top notch, and everyone was extremely pleasant.  Mike is very responsive and really went the extra mile to make sure we were completely satisfied with every detail.  They also did a great job minimizing the impact to the rest of our house.  We've never had a better experience with a contractor.

We hired Paul Bentham to design our kitchen for a substantial remodeling project for our townhouse.  Paul did an excellent job at all phases of the project, from educating us on our options to incorporating our feedback on his design to supervising the work by our contractor.  The end result was an award winning kitchen that was even better than we had imagined.  We would not hesitate to recommend Paul to anyone, and we will definitely use him again when we decide to remodel our master bathroom (after we have recovered from our kitchen remodel).

We were very fortunate to find Paul Betham with Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath to design our new kitchen. Upon a recommendation from a colleague, my husband and I stopped into the shop one Saturday morning to make an appointment. We were greeted by Paul and sold on his extensive knowledge and experience in kitchen design. He worked with our designer, Deborah Houseworth on color selection and introduced us to Michael Thorton, the outstanding contractor we used for installation. I had the pleasure of hiring Paul Bentham, from Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath, who design my master bathroom, in a recently purchased condo. Paul worked with me to fully understand my vision and created a space that was true piece of art. The space was small and there were limitations because of the building. Paul took on this challenge and created a spectacular area of natural beauty. Additionally, he took a small closet nook and created a usable space that gives the bathroom additional square footage and storage. Paul is a visionary which allowed him to configure space that other designers did not see. Paul Bentham transformed our original to the 1950s and awkwardly laid out kitchen into a thing of beauty.  Paul has great taste and is very pleasant and professional to work with.  Our kitchen was a complete gut job and required a new layout.  Paul came up with a design that not only looks fantastic but also functions very well.  He is also really good at coming up with one or two ideas on options for materials.  I’m someone who thoroughly (and perhaps over) researches everything, and Paul made my life so much easier by offering very thoughtfully vetted choices.  There are hundreds of options in finishes and materials for each aspect of a kitchen’s design.  Having a great designer who helps you narrow the options and who considers the big picture makes the process much less daunting.    For me, one key difference between Paul and other kitchen designers that I’ve met with is that others seemed focused on selling kitchen cabinets whereas Paul focused on creating a great design.  I recommend him to all of my friends and neighbors who are in the market for a kitchen remodel.

Paul Bentham is a top senior designer, his long years of expertise and hands-on the job made him a very refined designer, very creative with exquisite taste. From the minute you meet him, he shows a great deal of knowledge and professionalism, not only is he very pleasant and energetic but he likes to work closely with his clients in order to accommodate their needs and expectations. I must tell you that we had a very good experience and we are very happy with the outcome of the job and you must trust him when he makes a design and select colors. Paul Bentham of JGKB took our design and improved upon it with his knowledge of design trends.  He suggested some features that we did not think of and was able to help us choose cabinetry that matched our style.  He understood the look we wanted to achieve and helped us think outside of the box, i.e. choosing drawers instead of traditional doors for our modern kitchen. The manufacturer made some cabinets wrong and Paul helped resolve the issue on our behalf as well as worked with our contractor to resolve other issues. Overall we are thrilled with the result of our renovation.
